This page contains my personal testimony as well as some stuff about
me.
It has been said that only thing is constant in life: change.
In my life, there are two things: change and God's grace!
My Personal Testimony 1998
I just want to thank God for His faithfulness and goodness
throughout 1998 and give to Him the glory that is due to Him.
I was studying for my degree in Media Studies in Australia from July
1997 to July 1998. Somehow God chose to use me in a wonderful way in Australia. I was
attending the Overseas Christian Fellowship (OCF) in my university (QUT). I had the
privilege to serve as worship coordinator for one semester even though I couldnt
sing or play the guitar well. It was exciting to lead praise and worship. I learnt a lot,
but mostly that God looks at the heart and not the outward appearance. (1 Sam 16:7) He
uses those who are willing and available for Him!
Not only that, but God also raised me up as a cell
group leader in my Australian church, Glad Tidings. With the guidance of the Asian Youth
Pastor Ernie I learnt much as well and led praise and worship every week. Isnt God
amazing?
I also thank God for the opportunity to be a blessing to others
around me and an influence. At least two unbelievers I knew there are now Christians.
Also, it was not just the exterior duties of cell group leader and worship
coordinator, but as a friend I listened to, counseled and prayed with people and grew
close to some of them.
On top of all the church and OCF meetings and practices, I thank God
He also blessed me with excellent results. I graduated with 2 High Distinctions, 2
Distinctions, 3 Credits and 1 Pass, even though I came in one hour late for an exam!
Theres more. I came back quite sadly to Singapore in the midst
of an economic crisis. However, I pledged to the building fund as well even though I had
no income. Then one Thursday in cell group we were challenged to declare our faith in God.
I declared that I would get a job within a week. Not just any job. A good one that I would
enjoy. I sent out a total of only about 4 resumes and went for only one interview on the
following Tuesday. After the interview, I knew I had the job. Glory to God!
Probation period was supposed to be six months. I got confirmed
after 3 and a half months with a pay raise. It is really great to see Gods favour
upon me even in the workplace and I thank God for His goodness!
I have since moved on to another job that is an even greater
blessing. God is great!:)
"Those who know your name will trust in you
for you,
Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you." -Psalms 9:10 |
More Stuff about me! I am currently 27 years old, working in Worldmine.com as a Vision Executive.
I film and edit video for streaming through the internet, it's a really fun job and
I'm enjoying myself! One thing I really love is communicating through images, and I
think God has given me a gift to edit video.
I like roller-blading, playing the guitar, reading, photography and
anything fun. I attend City Harvest Church and serve in the television ministry. I
love God and if you wanna know more, just email me! The photo on the right was taken
by me in Melbourne on Penguin Island. It's one of my favourites.
I really miss Australia and all its beauty. I think it's a
wonderful place. It has been described as "The Great South Land of The Holy
Spirit". It really reminds me of God's beauty and the wonder of His creation.
But God is everywhere and so is His beauty. I guess if you
look hard enough, you'll see it in everything around you. Psalms 139:14-15 declares,
"I will praise You, for I am wonderfully and fearfully made; Marvelous are Your
works, and that my soul knows very well."

My Photographs |

Stradbroke Island is one of the most inspirational places I've
ever been in my entire life. Situated just off Brisbane, it's a tranquil island that
simply declares the wonder and beauty of nature and God's creation. God is a
really creative artist! I really miss Australia and hope to return some day...
The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty
waves of the sea.
Psalms 93:4

That was the closest I ever came to skydiving without a parachute;)

(I managed to take quite a few photos although my Yashica jammed due to the cold
weather...it was freeeeeezing!) |

Botanic Gardens has some tranquil sanctuaries which contrast greatly with the urban city
life.

got this interesting shot by lying on the ground in Toowoomba, Brisbane, during the flower
festival.

Toowoomba Flower Fest, held every year in Brisbane during Spring, is a feast for the eyes
with different kinds of flowers blooming everywhere. The myriad of colours is simply
beautiful.
A parade with floats and processions was on when I took this photograph, the kid made a
great subject with his wide-eyed interest in the parade and his red sweater adding to the
colour.

is the night view from a flyover between South Bank and Brisbane City.
I exposed this shot for about 10 seconds and was rewarded with these laser-like streaks of
light from the busy traffic below.

left: That's me in the centre, for those of you who might have trouble
making me out :P This photo was taken in Warner Brothers Movie World, where I sat on
the ULTIMATE ride of my life, the Lethal Weapon. You are kind of suspended in a
chair, which makes you feel all the more vulnerable as you are whisked up and down along a
track. It's all over in a few seconds, but you feel as though your entire life just
flashed before your eyes.... Even after going to Dreamworld and Seaworld, the Lethal
Weapon is still the most lethal ride of all! If you ever try it, don't eat a heavy
meal or you might just lose some of it... |

make a great attraction!;)

I managed to capture the flaming display with Kodak Gold 400 film and an opened shutter
for about 30 seconds.

above: This
was the perfect ending to a day of whale-watching just off Tangalooma Island near
Brisbane.
We saw about 5-6 whales migrating, but my zoom was not powerful enough to catch a good
shot.
However, the sunset was excellent, the kind that makes you feel great to be alive, if you
know what I mean...
"The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from
the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof."
